The start of a great adventure

Creation of all the tools needed to the development of our game: the various accounts on social networks, our Trello roadmap, our Discord server as well as Unity Collaborate to be able to work all together on the project.
The first advancements
Week of February 8
In order to set up our game, we had to start with the most important element: multiplayer. We therefore made the decision to use Photon because the platform has a simpler implementation with Unity software.
We started to write scripts needed to the implementation of multiplayer: player movement and camera movement.
A first mock-up of a menu has been produced, with only two functions: creating a multiplayer game and quitting the game.
We also started to write the website: setting up the home page with the different parts: About us, the contact form, as well as a presentation page for our game
Some major advances
Week of February 15
We have improved the website: the website is only available in French for the time being, we have decided to translate it into English, because we want to communicate internationally. In addition, we have added tabs to access to frequently asked questions, as well as a social networks tab where we have an integration of each social network: we can have an overview of the different social networks without going to the website, and the addition of a Discord integration so the user don't have to create an account if he wants to send messages. Moreover, the aesthetics of the site has been greatly improved.

We have finalized the multiplayer, it is functional: several players can be on the same map without any worries, seeing other players moving, shooting and moving the camera.

Besides, the user can choose to create a room or join one via a tab where you can see the list of available rooms. We have also added a page to access the list of players which are in the same room as oneself.

To be able to offer a test environment, we have created a small test map so we can test every feature of the game: spawn points, being able to kill an enemy, the movement of the player and the camera, being able to shoot with a weapon.

We also started to create an AI that was trying to follow a player.
Week of project defense
Week of March 1
We have finalized the first project defense report, and we have started to make the presentation slide show of the game. In addition, we have also made minor changes to the game so there won't be no more bugs: such as problems related to player control, that we can see the impacts of projectiles fired by the two weapons.

Thus, we made our first presentation on Friday March 5th.
